HISTORY
The group was formed
in 2005, when Ameriprise Financial
Advisors David
Raj (Lead Guitar),
Chas Cahn
(Guitar), Kirk
Vann (Bass Guitar) and
Cliff Carson
(Drums) decided to try it out and
play at the client appreciation
event. Cliff left the company
shortly thereafter and
Eugene
Balakirov was invited to fill
in for Cliff. It worked out and the
band played its first gig on
February 11, 2006 at Stafford Civic
Center.
Throughout 2006 more changes
occurred. Eugene moved to play
keyboards and guitar, while Chas
started playing bass guitar. At that
time Lakshman
Rao joined the band to play
drums.
The band started to
get tight and the repertoire became
diverse and recognizable. We played
4 big concerts:
Stafford Civic
Center - December 2, 2006
Russian Bear Hockey Leagues' Party - March 9, 2007
Rock "Shock Therapy" - September 21,
2007
Stafford Civic Center
"In The Star Dust" - November 17, 2007
Diana
Balakirov performed a few
songs as guest singer and the band
decided to experiment and invited
Catherine
Marshall to sing as well. At
that time Chas moved to Chicago and
Joey Trevino
took his place. The transition took
place at the next gig we
played on
April 11, 2008 at
Russian Bear "Spring Affair" party
followed by
Ameriprise Special
Event at Wyndham Hotel on May 1, 2008.
After that Catherine left
the band. More equipment was
purchased to provide for better
sound and lighting, which made a
whole lot of difference when we
played our next gig at
Stafford Civic
Center Fundraiser Event on February
28, 2009.
Norman Chu
was invited for sound engineering
and Eric
Calderon as lighting
designer. The feedback from the
audience was very pleasing and the
show went really well. After the
show David Raj
and Lakshman
Rao left, and
John Sixt,
Mike Connor
and Brian
Douglas joined the band.
