FALL SEASON OF 1998

EXELLENT START ON 9/9/98

HOOTERS WERE CHASED BY BISEXUAL REFEREES AND COULD ONLY PAT ON THE BLACKHAWKS SOFT FEATHER BUTTS. 1-0.
Nothing serious happened in this game if the following is not counted:
- Skip made a perfect pass and Jeff realized his chance to prove his leading goal scoring position. He had three attempts to put the puck in the net denied by an excellent goal tender. Jeff worked so hard that he was provoked to get a one game suspension for the fight.
- Kevin opened his new season with a shut-out. Oops!
- Hooters got 2 points as a game winner.
- Hooters played shorthanded (often 3 on 5) most of the time.
- Beer made the balance.
THE STARRY AMERICANS TRIED TO USE THEIR CIGAR SHAPED STICKS TO PLAY THE GAME AND WERE IMPEACHED BY HOOTERS FOR INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR. 3-1.
This game was not an easy game. Hooters were assigned a few new players and had to rearrange their lines. Fortunately everything worked out OK, although the zip-zip score was on the score board during the first and partly the second period. Hooters demonstrated a solid play pattern and a very good stick handling and passing. So did Americans until the first goal scored by Sean-The Slapper. 1-0. Americans "softened" and Hooters seemed to start dominating but allowed a cheap goal when the puck went in the net like a snail under Kevin's pads. 1-1. Soon after that Manish opened his score in this season on the rebound. 2-1. Less than a minute left to play the game and Americans pulled their goalie. It did not help them but Hooters who kept control of the situation and Manish finally sent the puck in the open net. 3-1. Good game!

FIRST LADY WAS TITLED "MISS NORTH STAR" FOR SCORING TWO GOALS IN A CHALLENGING CONTEST. 6-2.
Within a few minutes North Stars took the lead by scoring an easy goal on Hooters. 0-1. Soon after that Sean-The Slapper moved forward and nailed the puck in the net. 1-1. Stars forward made a circle like a descending airplane around the Hooters net who were changing at this moment and Stars took the lead again. 2-1. Hooters increased the pressure and Jeff performed an unstoppable wrister in the right upper corner. 2-2.
Hooters seemed to start dominating. Rob took a shot and Leane (our new female player) deflected it into the net. 3-2. Soon after that she scored another goal by performing a perfect one-timer on the Greg's perfect pass. 4-2. Males started to skate much faster. Eugene got a pass from Jeff, played it around three Stars and wristered it in the net. 5-2. On unknown reason Stars pulled the goalie and Rob assisted Dan to score an open-netter. 6-2.

ROUGH NECKS FAILED TO SHUT IN HOOTERS WHO WON STUMBLING OVER THE RIGS AND TRUCKS ON THE FRACTURED ICE. 3-2.
Without giving up their defensive pattern Hooters played agressively demonstrating good personal skills, effective passing and shooting. Plenty of scoring chances were not realized although Hooters dominated in the first, second and almost the entire third period. Sean-The Slapper scored a goal in the first period and later had to watch the game from the bench with a knee injury. Jeff capitalized on Rob's pass in the second, and Willy got his goal on a breakaway resulted from opponent's bad pass. 3-0. The third period was ending when Hooters got caught on a Rig's breakaway 3-1. A few seconds later Rough Necks scored another unexplainable goal. Probably, beer and wings had come to Hooters mind before then.

DEAD WING BONE STUCK IN THE HOOTERS THROAT BUT WAS FINALLY SWALLOWED BY THEM IN THE OVERTIME. 3-2.
First and most part of the second period both teams tried to find their ways to the net. Wings succeeded first and took the lead in the second period. Encouraging "Let's put another one..." was heard from their bench. Hooters started the third period with an intention to tie the game. Willy passed to Jeff who wristered the puck under the cross bar. 1-1. A defensive game well played by both teams seemed to end up as a tie. Within a few minutes left to play the game Eugene made a good pass to Willy who was surrounded by three pair of wings but managed to score. 2-1. It happened 3 minutes before the end of the game. Timer showed the remaining 58 seconds when in their turn Wings tied the game. Third minute of the Overtime. Willy redirected the puck to Sean who slapped it towards the net... Skate - post - IN!!! 3-2. Good game but very dramatic, eh.

ZERO PROOF BREW WAS WHOLLY AND EASILY CONSUMED BY HOOTERS. 4-0.
Kevin almost got frozen but made his second shut-out in the fall season while the rest of the team was storming the Houston Brew net. Jeff got a goal on a rebound of Greg's slap shot. Rob put another one when Scott and Danny screened the goalie. 2-0 in the first period. Rob made the game in the second by scoring a solo goal and assisting Jeff who performed a wonderful wrister. 4-0. In the scoreless third period a lot of shots were denied by a luckier opponent's goalie. The puck sent by Eugene in between his pads seemed to be stopped by his balls and did not go in. Even in one on one situation the opponent's goalie managed to fish the puck wristered by Skip who made a skipping trip around the brewed defense to the net.

MAPLE LEAFS KEPT FALLING ON THE HOOTERS HELMETS BUT ENDED UP TRAMPLED UNDER THE HOOTERS SKATES. 5-1.
The first period seemed to answer all questions. Hooters quickly took the lead by scoring two solo goals. Sean slapped one in and Rob echoed another one. 2-0. Kevin was close to get frozen again but let the one in at the end of the second period when Hooters got stuck in the opponent's zone and allowed Leafs a breakaway. 2-1. In the third Hooters stormed the Leafs net. Their goalie had much work to do and denied a big bunch of shots. Leafs defense was attracted by Jeff and "handled" him pretty hard. Eugene skated fast enough to try to score a goal and got himself a one on one chance which was denied by their goalie. Heavy pressure created by Hooters paid back. Rob made an excellent pass to Willy who deflected the puck into the net. 3-1. Rob was suspended soon after that for draining some blood from a Leaf. Then Sean again made a raid to the net, shot the puck which dropped in between the skates of the goalie who could not see it but Sean was right there... Boom! 4-1. Leafs pulled the goalie when 1:37 left to play the game. Wise people say: "Do not show your bare butt when you play against Hooters, it will be definitely kicked". It was! Greg skated around the defensemen, got hooked with the stick by Leafs goalie who was on the bench at this time, but Greg made it all the way down the net and literally rested the puck in it. 5-1.

HOOTERS THOUGHT THE HURRICANE SEASON WAS OVER AND GOT THEMSELVES HEAVILY BUSTED. 3-5.
Hurricanes broke all windows in Hooters defense and took the lead in the first period by scoring 2 goals. 2-0. Soon Sean got one back by a solo cruise across the ice. 2-1. Category four winds blew on Kevin who worked as hard as he could, but the roof was knocked off again. 3-1. Hooters tried to nail the veneer boards on the window frames and tied the game at 3 a piece. Danny got one goal on the rebound of Scott's shot and Jeff wristered another one on Skip's pass. Hurricanes beat Hooters to the puck all over the ice and rushed to Hooters net by fast transition of the puck across the center ice. Two quick goals in the third made the score 3-5. Hooters increased pressure but only 10 minutes left to play the game. Bad luck feeling was growing among Hooters who had so many chances to score and failed. Eugene took a shot in the open net when the goalie was down on the ice, puck deflected off the post hit the net support bar and went out. But the goal was not counted by bisexual referees. Hooters did not succeed in scoring and in a minute the game was over. First loss in the season and a good lesson to Hooters.

HOOTERS GOT OFF WITH SCRATCHES AND PANTHERS LEFT WITH  THE TORN OFF TAILS. 3-2.
Hooters started the game aggressively and seemed to control the entire ice. Pissed off about the loss to Hurricanes and a goal which was questioned by bisexual referees and not counted Eugene worked his butt off on the ice. Skip made a wonderful pass to Eugene who then scored a decent one timer. 1-0. In the second period Eugene got around the defenseman along the board and passed the puck to Roger who positioned himself in front of the net. The goalie was so much occupied with what Roger was gonna do and did not notice the puck which went in from his skate and Eugene got the credit. 2-0. In the third Panthers changed their tactics and started playing a dump-and-chase pattern. It worked as the puck seemed to stuck in the Hooters zone and snowed ice made it harder to clear it. Seven minutes left to play the game and Panthers finally scored a goal on a rebound. 2-1. This goal inspired them to try to tie the game. They rained down a squall of attacks on Hooters net. Fifty seven seconds left to play the game when Panthers played a nice combination and the forward deflected the puck which went in underneath Kevin's pads. 2-2. In their turn Hooters put their scoring "battalion" on the ice and locked Panthers in their zone. Panthers panicked and allowed a bunch of shots toward their net. Finally, Skipper who was excited about his 21 birthday and cocked up to score, made an unstoppable slapshot and the team gained the victory digits on the time table with 7 seconds left in the third. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SKIPPER! Good game, Hooters!

HOOTERS FAILED TO PLUCK BLACKHAWKS WHO COVERED THE HOOTERS HELMETS AND SHOULDER PADS WITH DROPPINGS. 0-3
Just a few minutes after the game had started Jeff and Eugene created a two on one situation. Eugene got passed by Jeff and instead taking his scoring chance passed on his right back to Jeff who was in a better position to score an open netter but got hooked by a blackhawk and could not make it. Zip-zip in the first. Kevin was screened when a defenseman slapped the puck which hit the post and went in. 0-1. Shorthanded Hooters could not withhold the pressure. Left winged blackhawk skated around "Miss North Star" who was playing defense this time and hit the puck which got in the net off the post. 0-2. There was no relief in the third. Sean got 10 min misconduct and was out of play, other Hooters skated their butts off to try to score and tie the game. Eugene made a few more passes to Jeff but Blackhawks played a sticky game by pushing, holding, hooking, scratching at an edge of foul. Sixteen seconds left to play the game and Blackhawks were awarded with a breakaway chance. Kevin who played the whole game very well allowed this one, what a bad luck. 0-3 and 7 seconds to Blackhawks triumph.  Regardless of the results of the next game Blackhawks will stay in the first position and Hooters in the second. Just like in the summer season, except for Panthers who finished first. Not a big deal.

SHINING NORTH STARS WERE BLINDED BY THEIR OWN LIGHT REFLECTED FROM SLEEPY HOOTERS. 2-1.
The game did not mean a lot to Hooters who nailed down the second place for themselves after their winning in Game 9. Hooters looked sleepy and allowed a Star to circle in front of the Hooters net and score a backhander. 0-1. To stimulate Hooters the opponent's goalie had to do the job for them and kicked the puck with his stick in the Stars net. 1-1. It helped as skating did improve. Eugene made a couple of raids across the ice but goalie denied his shots. Sean's were denied too. Willy shot the puck in the open net and it went 2 inches up the cross bar. The puck shot by Skip was stopped by the Stars goalie's neck. It made the third period last 16:50 instead of 15 minutes. Stars desperately wanted to win but Kevin made them feel pain in their own butts. He magically denied a rain of their shots. Then Greg said: "Let's win this game." and Hooters said: "OK, Cap!". Eugene got the puck in the Stars zone, passed to Rob who slapped the puck toward the net, Danny shot on the rebound, the puck got stuck and did not go in and finally Jeff made a pirouette in the air, knocked the puck in and landed on top of the goalie in the crease. 2-1. Stars pulled the goalie with 50 seconds left to play but Willy missed the open net.

QUARTER FINAL:  SIMPLY A BUNCH OF OUTS:  KNOCK-OUT, SHUT-OUT, LEAFS-OUT AND HOOTERS ON TOP 6-0.
Hooters "danced" all over the ice and avalanged Leafs by brilliant passing, machine shooting and excellent skating. In just a few minutes Rob and then Skip skated across the ice and put the puck in the net. 2-0. A few more minutes and Eugene picked up the puck, skated around a leaf and then the goalie... boom. 3-0 in the first. Hooters never stopped. Greg slapped one in the second and assisted Steve to score a onetimer. 5-0. Unlimited scoring chances in the third, missed open netters... Steve got lucky and put another one to get to the final score 6-0. Hooters advanced to the semifinals.

SEMI FINAL: A GIVE AWAY GAME. 2-4.
Easy start made North Stars look sad. Danny scored on a pass from Rob and later in the first Jeff assisted Lianne who scored on a rebound. Then Hooters relaxed while Stars increased pressure.
2-2 in the second made Hooters sad. A bunch of penalties, allowed breakaways and fully desorganized play in the third knocked Hooters down. 2-4. For the first time in the team's history Hooters did not make it to the final game. Tired of a leadership burden? Winter season will give the answer.
